8 port Matrix KVM Switch
With the 4-Console Matrix KVM, up to four console users can simultaneously control the attaching servers and computers. This KVM switch is loaded with features such as one local console port, one CAT5-based remote console port, plus two slots for you to insert the optional CAT5-based remote console module and IP-based remote console module, daisy chain, On Screen Display (OSD) menu, password security, hotkey control, push button and auto-scan Control. It has complete keyboard and mouse emulation for simultaneous computers boot-up process.
With the CAT5-based remote console module, you can remotely control servers and computers from 1000 feet away. In other words, you can locate your monitor, keyboard and mouse up to 1000 feet away from the KVM switch. The built-in CAT5 transmitter synthesizes VGA monitor and keyboard/mouse signals, and transmit the signals to the remote CAT5 receiver over the popular CAT5/CAT5E/CAT6 cable. It will greatly save your cost of cable layout and installation.
With the IP-based remote console module, you can control one or many computers locally at the server site or remotely via the Internet using a standard browser. You can securely gain BIOS level access to systems for maintenance, support or failure recovery over the Internet. Communication is secure via SSL encryption.
Some server room environments are too noisy or unsuitable for people to work there for a long time. With the remote console function you can collect the dispersive computers control into one place and remote manage them easily.
